BOTTLE TOPS 

 Plastic soft drink, water and milk bottle caps  No 2 and No 4 are only.   Please remove any foam disks and clean tops thoroughly, so they are ready for processing . If you have a large amount sorting would be appreciated.  see lids for kids eastern victoria  fb for the latest and area drop offs. 

Lids for Kids " is a nationwide project that saves CLEAN plastic bottle lids from landfill, redirecting them to be used by plastic manufacturers to make devices free for the community, such as children’s play equipment, sensory toys and gardening equipment." Please do not send jar lids vitmain lids etc or different numbers. NB You can also leave lids on plastic bottles  in the Yarra Ranges and Cardinia Shires. Also  lids can stay on glass jars

10 Fun things to do with to  with lids.

Metal bottle tops ( eg beer and wine ) should be put in a can of the same metal type ( aluminium or steel) and squeezed together, so they don't fall out. Then put in your kerbside bin. Jar lids of a larger size  best stay on the jar  but can go in separately .  Wine bottle lids can stay on the bottle.  If you are unsure check with your local council.
