Rain forests continue to be destroyed for the sake of palm oil. Communities are dislocated, orangatangs are being wipe out and our rain forests lungs of the earth are dwindling. We need to protect and restore rain forests to help avoid castrophic climate change.
Trying to get Palm oil Free and plastic free does not always go together but and with a bit of work we can find alternatives .The only way to be sure something is palm oil free and free of palm oil derivatives is to check with Palm oil Investigations. Product Guide and Palm Oil cerfication list. Why because palm oil has many different names, and many ingredients can be derived from palm oil. What about sustainable palm oil,? Unfortunately due to difficulty in following the chain of custody of palm oil POI does not recognize it but lists detected or not detected and the companies policy see POI for product guide and certified brands and Diy tips, further information. Palm oil is in many personnel care products from bars soap to liquid soaps moisturizer, shampoo conditioner toothpaste makeup as well as cleaning products and many foods . ​Try olive oil as a conditioner

Make liquid soap from palm oil free soap bar 2 cups desicated palm oil free soap ( I grated two bars earthwise vegan soap) 1.75 lires water heat with the water to just under boiling to dissolve , cool overnight and put in a reused pump pack. Some recipes use glycerin, ( which is often dervived from palm oil so I leave this out)

Castile liquid soap, olive oil based, no palm oil ( available in bulk Unwrapped Pantry and The Here and There Makers) which can be used for dishes but needs rinsing..

Eco choice dish washing liquid uses sustainably palm oil, is local, Ferntree Gully and in 2019 put 5000 solar panels on their roof. The packaging is. Recycled PET plastic which is readily recylced back into PET. Dish tabs also use sustainable palm oil, available woolworths

Euca dishwashing liquid states no palm oil ( not sure re certification will check ) made in Altona bulk at Evolution Wholefoods Upwey. Store buys the Detergent in a bulk box with bladder ( redcycled) which is readily recycled.
