Cd's, Dvd's and VHS Tapes
Cd covers are made of solid polystyrene as are some yoghurt containers and the Cd's are a mix of aluminium and plastic. The recycler will usually remove the metallic coating from the disc allowing the plastic to be recycled, others crush and use them in concrete. Hills Recycling will deliver cds, dvds and cover to recycling depots. We now accept VHS tapes . Note : CD and DVD Covers only can now go in the kerbside recycle bin in the Yarra Ranges shire, but no discs thanks.

If your cd's dvd's are still in good working order, ask your local OP shop if they want them. or put them on your local Buy Swap and Sell or Buy Nothing New group.

Use discs for crafts cases for storage
Reverse Art Ringwood and Narre Warren and Resource Rescue Bayswater will take cds for craft. ( not cases)

If you live in the Yarra Ranges, Cd and dvd COVERS can go in your kerb side recycling bin but NOT DISCS

CD and DVD disc and cover together can go to Kallista General Store and Recycled Roots and leaves Silvan

Emerald Library takes discs but no covers. So does Emerald Community House and Officeworks.
