CORKS
Recork Australia has established a new cork recycling program. Natural corks from wine and sparkling wine are collected at 52 Dan Murphy's stores. Corks then go to the Recycler Save our Soles where they are granulated and recylced into anti fatigue cork composite mats. Note, no synthetic/plastic corks, wire cages or aluminium foil are accepted. Prior to this program Hills Recycling took corks to the Reverse Art Truck for art and craft in schools. We will continue to take some of our corks for reuse this way and some to Recork for recycling.
