Mattresses
We throw out over a million mattresses every year. This takes up a huge amount of space in Landfill. Mattreses can be recycled. The timber is used for particle board, pet bedding and kindling, foam is used for carpet underlay, metal is recyled for numerous uses., felt and coir fibre can go to nurseries for mulch, some fabric can be recycled for audio sound proofing panels. (varies with recycler)
REUSE
Matteresses in good condition can be sold or donated to charities

RECYCLE
Mattresses can be put out on hard rubbish day to be recycled for free.

Some mattress stores will take your old mattress away if you have it delivered. ( just ensure it will be recycled)
