PAINT

WHAT TO DO WITH PAINT ?  Rethink, Reuse and Recycle. Millions of litres of paint are wasted every year, it is one of the biggest sources of liquid waste in land fill. Paint can be recycled for free  via PAINT BACK  even if its hard and dried up . The plastic and metal containers are recycled and the paint is repurposed. There is a limit  of 100 litre max free per drop off.... see accepted products. Before taking paint to be recycled consider some of the  reduce and reuse options below. For Greeen painters and sustainable DIY  painting tips see greenpainters.org.au

REDUCE

REUSE

Did know you can get your paint RETINTED.  Light colours are better suited to this, ask at you local paint store.

Store you tins upside down for a good seal

Keep some left overs for touching up to avoid having to do a whole repaint later.

Use it as an undercoat or try it for an alternate job.

Lets clean those walls and see if they still need repainting.

Give it away on a  Buy nothing Page

Check if you local mens shed would like it.
