THIS PROGRAM HAS CHANGED AND PENS TEXTAS AND MARKERS CAN NOW ONLY BE RECYCLED AT OFFICEWORKS STORES> Billions of plastic pens, textas and marker pens get thrown out every year. They can be recycled Via Bic and Teracycle at Officeworks stores. BUT we want to reduce the need to recycle via terracycle. Why because recycling still uses energy. We can use items that are easier to recycle or can be reused. See some ideas and options below.
REUSE

Buy single replacement pencils rather than whole new sets ( Office works and Epoche Kallista sell singles)

A pencils extender will make your pencil last right down to the last bit. This one is made with an old texta sheath, and many use the lid as well . See Utube for iinstructions. You can purchase one at Epoche in Kallista for lyra giant pencils. also pictured.or oficeworks or on line

"In this program all writing instruments (expect for wooden pencils, crayons and chalk) are accepted. Collect and send any brand of pen, felt tip, highlighter, marker, fountain pen, ink cartridge, correction fluid pot, correction tape, mechanical pencil and eraser pen (cap included) regardless of their composition (plastic, metal).
