The use of reuseable bags at supermarkets has been a great step to stemming the flow of plastic entering our homes, and the environment . But there is still an enormous amount of packaging out there. Plastic does not biodegrade it just breaks down into smaller and smaller pieces and gets into the marine food chain and our food .

Use reuseable Bread bags. Bakeries in the hills are happy for you to bring your own bread bag or teatowel, some bakeries supplu paper bags.
Buy pantry items at Bulk food stores you can even avoid plastic bags at the butcher if you take your own container
choose paper or cardboard packaging over plastic.
