Planet Ark has had a printer recycling scheme in place for many years now and has recycled over 38 million printer cartridges. The plastic metal and inks are recycled, saving on landfill, resources, energy and green house gases. Over 133,000 tonnes of green house gas have been saved.. Cartridges are recycled into plastic building boards, recycled felt tip pens, including recycled ink and road paving. Some cartridges are returned for reuse.
